We offer Radiesse®, BOTOX® Cosmetic, and Restylane® to our Dallas, Texas, patients who want to look younger without surgery. Restylane®, Radiesse®, and BOTOX® are non-surgical techniques that remove lines and wrinkles, plump up lips, and create youthful firmness in the cheeks. Because these techniques do not involve surgery, only topical anesthesia is used, recovery time is considerably shorter than with surgical procedures such as face lift, eyelid surgery, and rhinoplasty (nose job), and there is significantly less risk of complications occurring.
Although Restylane®, BOTOX® Cosmetic, and Radiesse® do not offer permanent results, the outcome will last a long time. An advantage of temporary procedures such as Restylane®, Radiesse®, and BOTOX® Cosmetic, is that our Dallas, Texas, patients can try them without fear of a lifetime commitment. And future Restylane®, Radiesse®, and BOTOX® treatments can be adjusted to meet your needs as natural aging changes your face.
If you're interested in non-surgical techniques such as Radiesse®, BOTOX®, and Restylane® near Dallas, Texas, consult with Regional Plastic Surgery Center regarding your options. These highly effective procedures reduce fine lines and wrinkles, plump and firm sagging facial areas, and provide an overall more youthful looking appearance without surgery!
BOTOX® Cosmetic removes lines around the mouth and eyes, creases in the forehead, and furrows between the brows that can make you appear tired or irritated even when you're feeling just fine. BOTOX® injections are safely administered by our Dallas, Texas area staff at Regional Plastic Surgery Center.
Sometimes referred to as the fountain of youth, BOTOX® Cosmetic is a popular and safe non-surgical method for temporarily eliminating frown lines and forehead creases, "crows feet" around the eyes, and thick bands in the neck. BOTOX® injections remove these facial lines and wrinkles by influencing the muscles in the face that control expressions, such as frowning and squinting. Because BOTOX® Cosmetic is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure, there is no danger of scarring, there is little to no recovery time involved, and our patients immediately resume routine activities after treatment.
A BOTOX® procedure at our facility near Dallas, Texas, begins with a consultation with one of our experienced cosmetic surgeons. It is important to be candid with our cosmetic surgeon when discussing BOTOX® treatment options at our Dallas facility. Pregnant women, women trying to become pregnant, and women who are nursing should not use BOTOX® Cosmetic. Certain forms of some medications and supplements such as antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, aspirin, herbs, and vitamins may affect the potency of the BOTOX® treatment. Bleeding and bruising at the injection site can result.
During the BOTOX® procedure at the Dallas area Regional Plastic Surgery Center, your cosmetic surgeon will ask you to point out which lines and wrinkles you want to remove and to contract the facial muscles in those areas. Your cosmetic surgeon will evaluate your face and determine the muscle that is causing the wrinkle. Once the muscle surrounding the wrinkle is identified, a tiny needle is used to inject a small amount of purified BOTOX® Cosmetic into a very small area of the problem muscle.
BOTOX® injections at our Dallas office prevent the area of muscle surrounding the wrinkle from contracting. This immobility relaxes the muscle and results in a smoothing of the wrinkle. In a few days the wrinkle disappears completely. Because only a small amount of BOTOX® Cosmetic is injected into a very small portion of the targeted muscle, the immobility of this targeted area does not effect the natural movement of the other facial muscles.
The effects of BOTOX® injections last from four to six months. Once the effects begin to wear off, the wrinkle will start to reappear. The BOTOX® procedure can be repeated at our Dallas facility as often as once every three months.
Although BOTOX® Cosmetic is a derivative of the bacteria that causes botulism, you are in no danger of contracting the food poisoning illness from a BOTOX® procedure at our Dallas area facility. There are possible side effects, however; and when not performed by an experienced cosmetic surgeon or physician, the chances of suffering one or more of these side effects drastically increases.
It is important to remember that BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription drug that should be administered by a qualified cosmetic surgeon in a medical setting that is equipped to treat any unexpected emergencies or side effects. The cosmetic surgeons at Regional Plastic Surgery Center are board certified and highly experienced. BOTOX® Cosmetic is a routine procedure performed at our Dallas, Texas, area surgical facility, and our patients' safety is our highest priority.
Side effects are generally a result of administering too much BOTOX® Cosmetic or administering the BOTOX® injections to incorrect muscles. Side effects are usually temporary, but they can last as long as several months. These side effects include droopy eyelids that can interfere with vision, localized numbness, bruising, swelling and burning during the injection, and flu-like symptoms, headache, and nausea.
Improperly handled, BOTOX® Cosmetic can become contaminated. BOTOX® Cosmetic is marketed in single use vials. Each vial is to be used only once for one injection on a single patient, and each vial must be used within four hours of being opened. Violation of these instructions risks contamination of the BOTOX® Cosmetic that can adversely affect the patient.
The cosmetic surgeons at Regional Plastic Surgery Center are highly trained and experienced in BOTOX® procedures. In Dallas, Texas, trust Dr. Scott Oishi, Dr. Denton Watumull, and Dr. Bruce Byrne with all your BOTOX® needs.
Restylane®, available in Dallas, Texas, at Regional Plastic Surgery Center, is a revolutionary non-surgical method for smoothing facial lines, wrinkles, and folds; sculpting and enhancing lips; and adding and shaping facial contours.
Restylane® is a transparent gel made from hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found throughout the body. The body uses hyaluronic acid to give volume to the skin, give shape to the eyes, and lubricate joints. The hyaluronic acid used in Restylane® is not produced from animals or animal products, so there is no chance of contracting an animal-borne disease or triggering an animal-related allergic reaction during treatment.
Restylane® is available in three formulas at our Dallas area practice. The only difference between the formulas is the size of the gel particles. Larger gel particles are used to build up or contour an area, while finer gel particles are used in procedures involving smaller changes such as plumping up fine lines.
Restylane® is used to solve many facial deficiencies quickly and safely without surgery.
Restylane® is used to smooth lines, folds, and wrinkles. A small amount of Restylane® is injected beneath the problem area using a very fine needle. The gel slightly plumps up the area beneath the line, fold, or wrinkle, giving the area a smooth appearance. Results are immediately visible. The Restylane® procedure is generally painless and results can last as long as a year or more.
Restylane® treatments can be used on our Dallas area patients in a combination of ways to bring shape and fullness to thin, unremarkable lips. By controlling the area of injection and the amount of gel injected, Restylane® plumps the lips and creates a pout.
Restylane® injected around the natural contour of the lips defines the edge and creates a youthful, esthetically pleasing appearance. Local anesthesia is often used to control pain. Because the injections cause the lips to swell, results are not immediately evident. The swelling disappears in a few days, and a touch-up treatment may be needed. Restylane® results will lasts up to six months. When the results fade, Restylane® treatments at our Dallas facility can be repeated.
Controlled Restylane® injections, used in the Dallas, Texas, area at Regional Plastic Surgery Center, adds fullness to a chin that is too small, creating a balance to the face that is immediately visible. Restylane® injected into the cheek area creates plump, youthful-looking cheeks. Building up the cheek area defines the cheekbones and creates a sculpted appearance. Little or no pain is experienced, but pain relief is available for patients who request it. Results typically last six to 12 months.
Because Restylane® is a non-surgical procedure, there is no chance of scarring and recovery time is very fast. A typical Restylane® procedure takes approximately 30 minutes and results are immediately visible. Redness, swelling, pain, itching, tenderness, or discoloration may occur at the site of the injection, but these side effects typically disappear after a day or so for facial injections and a week or so for lip injections. In very rare situations, some patients experience a localized reaction of the treatment area consisting of redness, tenderness, or an acne-like formation. These rare reactions occur within a few days or weeks of the Restylane® treatment, last approximately two weeks, and result in a mild to moderate disruption of normal activity.
Although Restylane® is stabilized to make it long-lasting, Restylane® treatments are not permanent. Over time, Restylane® breaks down into water and carbon dioxide. As the Restylane® breaks down, it completely dissolves from the body and water fills in the areas where the Restylane® was. Once the Restylane® has dissolved, the treated area will return to its pre-treated appearance. Restylane® treatments at our Dallas facility can be repeated as often as necessary. And because the procedure is not permanent, subsequent Restylane® procedures can be modified to compliment natural changes to the face.
Restylane® treatments are often combined with other cosmetic surgery procedures. Our Dallas vicinity cosmetic surgeons at Regional Plastic Surgery Center will be happy to create an individualized treatment plan that meets your needs. Radiesse® treatments offered at our Dallas, Texas, cosmetic surgery facility can resolve a myriad of facial problems. Laugh lines, crows feet, and smile creases appear as the body's natural underlying tissues break down. These expression lines are typically the result of aging and sun damage and can make a person look older than they are or older than they care to look. This damage can also cause the face to lose its plump, youthful appearance. The results of Radiesse® typically last longer than Restylane®, making it a more popular option for certain patients.
Lip augmentation is a non-surgical, temporary cosmetic procedure used to create fuller lips and reduce fine wrinkles around the lip line. A variety of materials are available to accomplish this, including the patient's own fat, Restylane®, and Radiesse®. Our Dallas, Texas, vicinity cosmetic surgeons can advise you as to the material that is best for your lip augmentation.
During the lip augmentation procedure, the chosen material is injected into the area of the lip to be enhanced. Usually one injection to the area is all that is necessary to produce the desired result. Pain is controlled with topical anesthesia, and our Dallas patients return to normal activities immediately after treatment. Side effects include allergic reactions that may cause redness, swelling, and itching. Bleeding and lip asymmetry may also occur.
The length of time the results of the lip augmentation last depends upon the method chosen. Each method has its own advantages, disadvantages, and characteristics, so it is important that if you are considering lip augmentation you have a thorough and full evaluation and consultation. This consultation should include your medical history and your desired lip augmentation outcome.
