Liquid Facelift

What is a Liquid Facelift?

A liquid facelift is a non-surgical facelift procedure that uses dermal fillers applied throughout the face to add volume and lift, as well as fill deep creases and wrinkles. Using state-of-the-art hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers from the JUVÉDERM® family and a customized treatment plan, our plastic surgeons can achieve natural-looking facial rejuvenation without the need for surgery. Results can last between one to two years, or more, depending on the specific products used, the areas that are injected, and the unique rate at which your body absorbs the product. Treatments can be scheduled at the appropriate intervals to maintain lasting results for a continuously youthful look.

What Are the Benefits of a Liquid Facelift?

The minimally invasive liquid facelift procedure offers many advantages for both women and men who desire a more youthful appearance without surgery. In addition to resulting in little or no downtime, a liquid facelift can:

  • Restore depleted facial volume
  • Add youthful volume, lift, and contour to the cheeks
  • Correct the appearance of hollows beneath eyes
  • Smooth and fill deep creases and moderate wrinkles
  • Add volume, shape, and smoothness to the lips
  • Correct the appearance of fine wrinkles around the mouth

Your liquid facelift will be fully customized to address your specific needs with beautiful, natural-looking results. Many times your plastic surgeon may also recommend combining BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments with your liquid facelift. BOTOX® Cosmetic relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles and creases to further enhance the quality of your final results. Though the results achieved with a liquid facelift are temporary, the JUVÉDERM products we use can last from one to two years or more. BOTOX® Cosmetic injections need to be repeated more frequently—usually every six months or so.

Who Is a Candidate for a Liquid Facelift?

Candidates for a liquid facelift are typically experiencing varying degrees of facial aging (due to volume depletion and skin aging) but are not ready for a surgical facelift. Individuals with poor skin/tissue elasticity and/or cosmetic concerns caused by the presence of excess skin are usually better served with facial plastic surgery procedures—like facelift, brow lift, or eyelid lift—that target and correct sagging, as well as redundant skin. If you are wondering whether you are a good candidate for a liquid facelift, the first step is scheduling a cosmetic consultation with one of our experienced plastic surgeons. During this appointment your plastic surgeon can examine your face, discuss your concerns and goals, and determine if a liquid facelift is the best approach for achieving the results you desire.

Which Fillers Are Used in a Liquid Facelift?

At Regional Plastic Surgery Center our plastic surgeons prefer to use JUVÉDERM products when performing liquid facelifts. They primarily use JUVÉDERM VOLUMA, but also incorporate JUVÉDERM VOLLURE and VOLBELLA when those products are the best options for creating optimal results.

What Happens During the Liquid Facelift Procedure?

Once you and your plastic surgeon have agreed upon a liquid facelift treatment plan, your procedure can proceed. To minimize potential discomfort during injection, a topical anesthetic can be applied to numb the facial skin. When the skin is desensitized, your surgeon can proceed with injections of JUVÉDERM products into the targeted areas. The focus is always on creating results that are balanced, symmetrical, smooth, and natural-looking. Your plastic surgeon may use a variety of advanced techniques to achieve your desired outcome.

What Can I Expect After a Liquid Facelift?

Because the JUVÉDERM products our plastic surgeons use are formulated with lidocaine (a local anesthetic), discomfort following your treatment is typically minimal. It is normal to experience some redness, bruising, and swelling at the injection sites during the first couple of days; however, these effects can be easily concealed with makeup and dissipate quickly. Your enhanced facial volume will be immediately apparent after injection, but the final results will be revealed once any swelling has gone down. If you wish to further perfect your results, you may request a touch-up appointment with your plastic surgeon.

How Long Does a Liquid Facelift Last?

The length of time your liquid facelift lasts depends on which dermal fillers were injected during your treatment. At Regional Plastic Surgery Center we use the following JUVÉDERM products for liquid facelifts:

  • JUVÉDERM VOLUMA can last up to two years or more
  • JUVÉDERM VOLLURE can last up to 18 months or more
  • JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA can last up to a year or more

It is important to note that these lengths of time can vary from patient to patient based on where the injections are placed and each person’s unique rate of absorption. Typically, dermal fillers placed in areas that are frequently in motion (like the mouth area) tend to dissipate more quickly. If you want to maintain the results achieved with your liquid facelift, re-treatment can be performed as needed to replenish the desired amount of volume.

How Much Does a Liquid Facelift Cost?

The average price range for a liquid facelift at Regional Plastic Surgery Center is typically $1200 to $5200; however, it is important to follow through with a cosmetic consultation in order to find out exactly how much your liquid facelift will cost. The highly customized nature of the liquid facelift procedure dictates that different amounts of dermal filler be used to address each patient’s unique needs—and this fluctuation in quantity causes pricing to vary. The price for a liquid facelift is largely based on the number of JUVÉDERM VOLUMA, VOLLURE, and/or VOLBELLA vials injected during treatment. The market price per vial, the experience/skill level of your surgeon, and any special discounts we are offering on JUVÉDERM products will all be taken into consideration when formulating your cost quotation.
